Martina Gregori
Martina Gregori is a PhD student at DIMA/DIAG Departments since 2017. After a Bachelor in Management Engineering, she gained a M.Sc. degree in Management Engineering from the Sapienza University of Rome, with a final dissertation developed during a visiting research period of 5 months in the Institute for Transport Studies (ITS), University of Leeds. In her Master thesis, co-supervised by Prof. Chris Nash, she assessed the social economic impacts associated with rail-based and bus-based modes, analysing the UK suburban context.
She visited the FCFM - Universidad de Chile in 2019 for 2 semesters, as a visiting PhD student under the supervision on Prof. Leonardo J. Basso.
She has worked as a local unit member in several research projects funded by grants from firms and institutions such as ANAV-National Associatio for Road Transport and Travelers and MIUR-Ministry of Research, University and Higher Education.
She has worked as principal investigator on a project funded by Sapienza University of Rome, focusing on the long-haul intermodal competition and the role of ICT technologies development on the sector.
Teaching
She is the tutor for Microeconomics, in BA Management Engineering (Sapienza University of Rome)
She has been the tutor for Professional Specialization Courses in Management of Local Public Transport (Sapienza University of Rome)

Her interestes and research focus on transport economics:
(i) Railways performance
(ii) External impacts and social economics costs; Standard costs definition
(iii) Intermodal competition
(iv) Congestion modelling
She is also interested in the analysis of the Higher Education Systems, in particular in the HEIs institutions' performance assessment.
