Arthur ter Hofstede is a professor in the Faculty of Science and Technology at the Queensland University of Technology in Brisbane, Australia, and Co-Chair of its Business Process Management program.

He is also a part-time professor at the Information Systems Group of the Eindhoven University of Technology in Eindhoven, The Netherlands, and has been recently appointed as a Senior Visiting Scholar at Tsinghua University in Beijing, China.
