Elena Umili
Biography
I am an assistant professor (RTD-A) at the Department of Computer, Control and Management Engineering (DIAG) of Sapienza University of Rome.
I received my PhD in 2023 in Engineering in Computer Science at Sapienza with a thesis entitled "Discovering Logical Knowlegde in Non-Symbolic Domains". During that time, I worked with Prof. Giuseppe De Giacomo (as supervisor) and Prof. Roberto Capobianco (as co-supervisor).
My research focuses on Neurosymbolic AI and the integration of deep machine learning and perception with symbolic reasoning and planning.
I am passionate about robots, AI, traveling, and Tarantino movies.
