Workshop: "Procurement design of local public transport services"
November 15-16, 2018
Sapienza Università di Roma
Department of Computer Control and Management Engineering Antonio Ruberti
In the next years, European Union Member States will have to rely increasingly on market forces in local public transport (LPT) services procurement in order to cope with the expected rise in transport demand, improve competition among operators, implementing a fairer distribution and a more efficient use of scarce public financial resources. This 2-days workshop aims at studying the many different aspects of LPT services procurement in order to encourage socially desirable outcomes.
The workshop is organised within the activities of the Special Interest Group E2-Transport Pricing and Economic Regulation of the WCTRS
A selection of papers presented at the workshop will be considered for publication on the Special Issue (SI) “LPT services procurement” on Research in Transportation Economics (ISSN:0739-8859). Submission of full papers to the SI will open on February 1st, 2019.
