Simone Di Leo is Assistant Professor of Management Engineering at Sapienza University of Rome - Department of Computer, Control, and Management Engineering "Antonio Ruberti" (DIAG).
He completed his PhD – Doctor Europeus cum laude in Industrial and Management Engineering at the same University defending a thesis entitled “Performance evaluation of public services with nonparametric frontiers”.
His main research topics include Efficiency analysis, business data analysis, micro-data analysis and regulation and public policy analysis. His various research has been published in various peer-reviewed top-ranked journal indexed both in Scopus and Web of Science, such as Annals of Operational Research, International Transactions in Operational Research, Management Decision, Scientific Reports and Journal of Informetrics.
He has worked in several research projects funded by various institutions such as ARERA (the Italian energy, network and environment regulatory Authority). He was part of the ETER Project (https://eter-project.com/, now part of the European Higher Education Sector Observatory, HESO) and was responsible for collection and quality control of Italian, Maltese, Irish, and Great Britain data.
He spent 4 months of visiting research periods at the Université Catholique de Louvain (Belgium) in 2023.
He teaches Management Tools for Business Data Analysis (Master's Degree in Management Engineering) at Sapienza University of Rome.
